To Sziget by Car (from the West)

1. Parking is rather limited, so it is recommended you approach the island by mass transport.
2. Take highway M1/E5 (towards Győr/Budapest)
3. This will turn into Budaörsi, then into Alkotás, and finally into Krisztina and Vérmező roads. Once you see a large park to your right, you will need to go straight (up) towards Margit Híd.
4. At this point you will be on Margit Körút
5. Right after there are no tram tracks to the left (and buildings on BOTH sides), you will notice that the road forks: one direction is left, the other is straight. Most cars will go left (the bridge is that way), you need to go straight.
6. Go down to the Danube and turn left. You will need to go straight, next to the danube for about 4 km. You will notice the Sziget entrance where there is a huge traffic jam and lots of people!

To Sziget by Car (from the South or East)

1. Take M5/E75 or M3/E71 to Budapest.
2. Once in the city, you will need to cross the Danube on the bridge of your choice (as long is it is not the M0 loop bridge).
3. On the Buda side you will need to merge onto the Rakpart which is the street directly next to the Danube. Go North on this street until you come across lots of people and a massive traffic jam!
