Basic Sziget Questions

What, when and where is it? Sziget is an annual music and cultural festival held on an island in northern Budapest, Hungary. It is usually held during the end of July / beginning of August. Sziget 2008 will be held august 12-18.

Is the band XYZ playing at Sziget? All the latest info we know is posted on the headlining artists page. Please do not ask us if we know anything else. We do not. If you are wondering about hungarian artists, usually all the major hungarian acts have a concert on one of the many stages. Click here.

Will tickets sell out? Sometimes. The best way to guard against this is to buy a week-pass, which guarantees your entry. Daily passes may sell out on certain days. Also, if you buy your week ticket in advance, it is a lot cheaper then buying it at the gate. Click here.

Can I buy daily passes in advance? No. Daily passes are only available at the gate. But week passes are available in advance at a discount price. Click here.

Where can I purchase tickets? How much are they? Tickets are cheap compared to Western European festival standards. There are week long passes and daily passes. Week long passes can be purchased from us, throughout Hungary, or check your local ticket agency. Both week passes and daily passes are available at the gate. But if you buy in advance (from us for example) you can save considerable amounts of money. Extensive ticket info: click here.
